Donna Tang is a Chinese-Dutch actress based in the Netherlands, renowned for her lead role as Yung Ling in HAPPY PALACE (樂宮). The first Asian-Dutch feature film directed by Nicole van Kilsdonk, and written by Yan Ting Yuen and Ilse Ott. This feature film is notable for being the first Dutch production with an all-Chinese-Dutch leading cast and a predominantly Asian crew.

HAPPY PALACE premiered on national television and headlined the 20th-anniversary edition of the CinemAsia Film Festival as the opening film. The film was selected for the Gouden Kalf competition at the 2024 Netherlands Film Festival (NFF).

Donna’s filmography features the short film STILETTO, in which she stars as one of the lead character, Vivian. Created by actor and filmmaker Ethan Thuy Nguyen, the film debuted at the 2023 Netherlands Film Festival.

In addition, Donna also appeared in THE PERFORMANCE, a short film by Claire Zhou that was nominated for Best Short Film at the Dutch Golden Calves (Gouden Kalf).

In 2022, Donna completed her camera acting training in Amsterdam. During this period, she collaborated with actress and filmmaker Joey Kwan (BE), starring in two short films: MOEDERWOND (2022) and GAYAU (2023). The latter was screened at both ShortCutz Amsterdam and the CinemAsia Film Festival. Donna is fluent in Dutch, English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
